I went to the garage last night but only managed about 20 mins before I decided to call it a night. In that 20 minutes I nearly tripped twice over tinware, I knocked a box of bolts over with about 100 nuts bolts and washers in it and I near took the angle grinder to [...]

Dad got a little work done on the engine today. He finished stripping it and started cleaning it. I also found out the engine is a mexico one, not sure if this means anything. This gives you an idea of how bad it was. Its not finished yet but its a great start.

Well Dad stripped the engine today and we discovered that it is a 1300cc engine after all. We knew it was a 1300cc crank case but the PO said it may have been upgraded to 1600cc with new pistons and heads. So i have two options, find a set of 1600cc pistons and heads and [...]

Got the gearbox semi back together tonight. I ran out of time before I got it back in the car but its another step ahead.

I got a little more done on the buggy today. It seems to be going slowly at the moment. I’m making progress but only a little at a time. Today I got the rest of the gearbox taken apart, the bearings out of the axle tubes and got the axle tubes cleaned, primered and painted. [...]

I was doing a little more work tonight. We got took the rear drums off the car. I had been dreading this job. I have heard so many horror stores about how tight the nuts are on but for me they popped easily enough then again i did borrow a inch drive T-bar and 36mm [...]
