Hiya mate what the colour of this fine looking T25?

  • #2 | Written by george about 2 years ago.

it was a custom mix, so there was no paint codes for it but it was a nice colour alright, i still have a litre of it so if you where local you could take a colour sample and get something mixed up to suit

Hiya mate, i mailed you 2 months ago then completely forgot about contacting you. I really really want this colour for our van! Where abouts are you based?

    Hello George,
Bought myself a vw t25 last summer. Had to do a little work on it so it would pass the DOE. Got a very nice surprise when I google imaged vw t25 and actually found my van, your old van!!!!!!!!!! Its runnin great, I use it every day. Engine is great few little marks where panel stickers were peeled. When I bought it, had square headlights. One was cracked so I’ve changed back to round originals! Hag an alternator refurb & only had to call the AA once! Thought u might be interested.

    George,
Wonderin if I can ask you a few personal questions??? Did you put the seats in? Did you have much work to do putting them in, i.e. are they on original runners? Want to put in a seat swiveller (new word) on passenger side and was wondering, will I have much to do when I go at it?

Also George when I got the van it had square headlights and a new grille. Driverside head was damaged so I’ve changed back to the roundy ones. If you’re interested or know anyone looking for square heads and grille give us a shout.

    Donnacha,

The seats where in it when i got it, but i do know they seat runners are not original, the are from the seat ibiza which is what the seats are from. to put in swivel bases ou would have to cut off the existing runners, mount your swivel base then weld the runners back on. not a big job if you can weld

    where are you based

George, am living in Kilcock Co. Kildare. Let us know if you’d like those heads. Never tried welding before. Can get me hands on one, so might give it a go. Might get Saab leather seats have seen them in a few vans they look good and I think original runners were not too dissimilar.

I don’t want the heads myself but you could put them on http://www.eircooled.com or http://www.type2ireland.org i’m sure someone will take them off you.

As for the saab seats yeah they look good in the vans. you would just have to set a set of saab seat runners with the seats and weld them on instead.

There are loads of people who have done it on http://www.club80-90.co.uk
